Sausage Breakfast Rolls

I love cooking and Mikes coworkers love to eat. Mike said he wanted to pick up doughnuts to bring to work but I told him NO. Almost everyone likes homemade better than boring doughnuts and considering how much his group loved my scones, I was not about to send him to work with store bought doughnuts. It just so happens my new issue of Cooking Light arrived on Friday and I found a yummy recipe for Mike to take to work. My only regret, I should have doubled or tripled the recipe! These rolls are fun, yummy and easy.

1 (11 oz) can refrigerated french bread dough
2T butter, melted
2T chopped sage
1/4t salt
8 oz pork sausage, cooked and crumbled
3/4 c. cheese
cooking spray
Preheat oven to 350. Find lengthwise seam in dough. Beginning at seam, gently unroll dough into a rectangle on a lightly floured surface. Roll dough into a 13×8 inch rectangle; brush with melted butter. Combine sage, sausage and salt. Sprinkle sausage mixture evenly over dough, leaving a 1/2inch border; top with cheese. Starting with the long side, roll dough up, jelly-roll style. cut off ends. Cut remaining roll into 12 pieces; arrange on baking pan that is coated in cooking spray. Bake at 350 for 26 minutes or until golden.
