ANT FARM

March 18, 2009
Remember a long time ago when you were young and had to beg your parents for stuff. I am not just talking about boring stuff like cloths and shoes but actually really neat stuff like an ANT FARM. About a month ago, Mike and I realized that if we want an ant farm, sea monkeys, or a butterfly house that we can get it. Long story short, the compulsive online shopper (during work) that I am, bought an ant farm. This ant farm is no normal green plastic thing with sand; it is the most wicked cool ant farm EVER! This ant farm is AntWorks brand and is based on a 2003 NASA Space Shuttle experiment to study animal life in space and test how ants successfully tunnel in microgravity. Translation, this ant farm rocks! On Thursday I received the ants in the mail. Of 25 we had 4 that were DOA.Initially the ants just chilled out.During Thursday night the ants started digging. So neat!
These guys have been busy.
More progress.
Starting to look really fun!Its Wednesday and I think the ants are finished building tunnels. I am curious to see what they do with all their free time.Party in the corner to celebrate finishing their new home.

So I looked up Sea Monkeys, and it turns out the setup you buy can last two years. They just keep reproducing!
